Workshop theme: Developing a practical Procurement Transformation approach

Procurement transformation refers to a specific type of organizational change management which focuses on strategies to enable major and long-term improvements to procurement and supply management processes, activities and relationships. (Day and Atkinson, 2004)

Whether you are in a Fortune 500 to 1000 Companies, a Mid-Size Enterprise, a Public Entity, a Small Business or Company at risk, Procurement Transformation is something that every organization can and should actively pursue. Seeing Procurement as a transactional, tactical, low-value entity is at best sub-optimal and at worst, detrimental to business and can lead to serious profit and value erosion for any organization, hence the importance for Procurement Transformation.
